Yellow Brick House Partners in Take Back the Night York Region 2026
No More Silence, No More Blame. Survivors Deserve Real Change.
Join Yellow Brick House on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6–9 PM at Riverwalk Commons in Newmarket, Ontario, for Take Back the Night York Region 2026.
Take Back the Night is a global movement that brings communities together to stand against sexual violence, support survivors, and demand safer communities. Through marches, speakers, and community activities, the event creates space for survivors and advocates to raise their voices and call for meaningful change.
This year’s message is clear: No more silence. No more blame. Survivors deserve real change.
Ending gender-based violence requires more than awareness. It requires us to challenge victim-blaming, believe and support survivors, improve access to essential services, and address the systems and attitudes that allow violence to continue.
Yellow Brick House is proud to join community organizations and residents from across York Region for an evening of solidarity, reflection, and collective action. Together, we will amplify survivors’ voices and affirm that everyone deserves to feel safe in their homes, relationships, and communities.
We invite you to stand with us at Take Back the Night York Region and be part of the movement toward a future free from sexual and gender-based violence.
