Volunteer Canada Helps Connect Corporate Volunteers with Yellow Brick House
Corporate volunteers make an important contribution to the work happening across Yellow Brick House, and Volunteer Canada has helped us grow those connections.
Over the past few years, Volunteer Canada has supported Yellow Brick House both directly and by connecting us with corporate teams looking for meaningful ways to give back. Through these connections, we have been able to welcome new groups, take on larger volunteer projects, and bring additional support to initiatives across our organization.
Creating connections that make an impact
Volunteer Canada has helped coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities with Yellow Brick House, including a special collaboration during National Volunteer Week. Their own team has also volunteered with us, lending a hand with furniture assembly, administrative projects, and warehouse clean-ups.
Their impact has extended even further through the corporate groups they have helped bring to Yellow Brick House. Volunteer Canada played an important role in connecting us with UPS Canada for a 50th anniversary volunteer initiative, where participants assembled Comfort Kits for the women and children we serve.
Through Volunteer Canada’s network, we have also welcomed teams from AbbVie/Allergan, who prepared back-to-school snack packages for children, and Synopsys, whose volunteers helped with a seasonal shelter clean-up.
Each of these projects looks a little different, but together they demonstrate what can happen when organizations, employees, and community needs are brought together.
We are grateful to Volunteer Canada for continuing to connect Yellow Brick House with people who are ready to lend their time, skills, and energy to our mission.
