Yellow Brick House Partners in Take Back the Night York Region 2025
Join us on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6–9 PM at the Richmond Green Amphitheatre (1200 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill) for Take Back the Night York Region.
Take Back the Night is a global movement and annual march to stand against sexual violence, support survivors, and reclaim our streets. Communities across the world come together each September to raise awareness, demand action, and call for safer communities.
The need for action is urgent:

1 in 3 women worldwide experience some form of sexual violence or intimate partner violence.

1 in 6 men experience sexual violence.

2 in 3 transgender people have been sexually assaulted.
-
People in the LGBTQIA+ community are more likely to experience sexual violence.
-
Fewer than 50% of victims report these crimes.
This year, Yellow Brick House is proud to partner in hosting Take Back the Night York Region. The evening will feature community speakers, activities, and a solidarity march to amplify the voices of survivors and show that violence has no place in our community.
