Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, domestic violence has increased in Canada by 30%. Yellow Brick House has seen the impact first hand through the many calls to our 24/7 crisis and support lines and the thousands of women and children that we provided services to last year.
But our doors have and will continue to remain open.
Annually it costs $631,000 to keep the Markham shelter open and provide lifesaving services and prevention programs. Your multi-year pledge allows families who arrive with nothing to be provided with shelter, food and counselling support as they transition to a live free from violence.
