As an employee of Crane Supply, we are giving the opportunity to nominate an organization to receive a donation through our Crane Fund for Widows and Children. This year, I decided to nominate the Yellow Brick House in honour of friend who tragically lost her mother due to domestic violence. It is important that organizations like the Yellow Brick House are supported in order to assist individuals that are dealing with domestic abuse and violence. Without support, it would be difficult for individuals to continue living in situations that put them at risk on a daily basis. I feel honoured and privileged that we were able to assist the Yellow Brick House in providing security for those seeking it.

Yellow Brick House is a shelter that is very close to my heart. I tragically lost my mom to domestic violence when I was just 18 years old and the awareness that Yellow Brick House brings to the community, is preventing more stories like mine. The compassion and determination Yellow Brick House shows to save and rebuild the lives of these women and children is beyond words. Thank you yellow brick house for everything you have done for me with my healing and thank you for your continued hard work giving these women and children a safe place to go. My family and I will be forever grateful for everything that you do. One night in the shelter could be the night that women or child’s life is saved.
