Join us on\u00a0Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6\u20139 PM<\/b>\u00a0at the\u00a0Richmond Green Amphitheatre (1200 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill)<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Take Back the Night York Region<\/b>.<\/div>\n
Take Back the Night is a global movement and annual march to stand against sexual violence, support survivors, and reclaim our streets. Communities across the world come together each September to raise awareness, demand action, and call for safer communities.<\/div>\n
The need for action is urgent:<\/div>\n

    1 in 3 women worldwide<\/b>\u00a0experience some form of sexual violence or intimate partner violence.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    1 in 6 men<\/b>\u00a0experience sexual violence.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    2 in 3 transgender people<\/b>\u00a0have been sexually assaulted.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    People in the\u00a0LGBTQIA+ community<\/b>\u00a0are more likely to experience sexual violence.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Fewer than\u00a050% of victims<\/b>\u00a0report these crimes.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    This year, Yellow Brick House is proud to partner in hosting Take Back the Night York Region. The evening will feature community speakers, activities, and a solidarity march to amplify the voices of survivors and show that violence has no place in our community.<\/div>\n
