In anticipation of Mother’s Day this Sunday – Ontario Campaign 2000, Family Service Toronto and ISAC invite mothers across the province struggling on low incomes to send in a Mother’s Day wish (something that the provincial government could do that would make your life and the lives of your children better) at https://secure.blueoctane.net/forms/WTLPIGOQLHO5. The deadline to receive wishes is MAY 13 (Mother’s Day). The wishes will be compiled and forwarded on to relevant provincial government ministers, Liberal MPPs and key opposition MPP critics.

Winter Carnival at Angus Glen

Help Still Needed this Holiday Season

Dear Friend of Yellow Brick House,

I am writing to personally thank you for being part of the Yellow Brick House family. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. Last year alone, 5015 women and children received shelter, counseling and supportive services from Yellow Brick House. Even so, 207 women and 415 children could not be accommodated due to lack of space. The critical need for our services continues to grow at unprecedented rates.

Yellow Brick House, operating in its 33^rd year, is a leader in providing services to women and children fleeing violent situations. The programs and services offered to victims of violence at Yellow Brick House range from emergency shelter, to individual and group counselling, to transitional housing units, to legal support and advocacy, to art therapy for children, and more. The greatest challenge that Yellow Brick House faces is raising adequate funding to support the programs and services that are under increased demand.

In the spirit of the holiday season, please consider making a contribution to our Holiday Giving Program. This Program funds Yellow Brick House programs designed to empower women and children to rebuild their lives free from violence. Please fill in the enclosed newsletter donation form. Alternatively, you can make your donation online by visiting our web site www.yellowbrickhouse.org. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
